Diagnostic

Neuropsychological assessment

An evaluation to clarify how different areas and systems of the brain are functioning.

Testing is usually recommended when there are symptoms or complaints involving memory or thinking. Such symptoms may include changes in concentration, organization, reasoning, memory, language functions, perception, coordination, or personality. The change may be due to any of a number of medical, neurological, psychological, or genetic causes. Testing is helpful in understanding the specific situation.

Federal Aviation Association (FAA) consultation

As directed by FAA, we evaluate airmen and airwomen to determine if specific conditions may produce cognitive deficits that would make him or her unfit to perform duties.

Forensic services

We provide expert neuropsychological insight in legal proceedings based upon a working relationship between Dr. Masino and attorneys requesting expert opinion.

Treatment

The brain is perhaps the most potentially adaptive and capable part of the human body. It is capable of considerable reorganization and can form the basis for functional recovery.

Cognitive remediation

Every system in the body requires maintenance. The mind is no different. Through diverse exercises, cognitive remediation aims to improve things like memory, attention span, language functions and more.

Neurofeedback

These sessions are designed to help retrain brainwave patterns over time. Neurofeedback has been shown to aid patients with ADD, learning disabilities, epilepsy, brain injury, stroke, alcoholism and substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

Neurofeedback is also used in cognitive and memory enhancement and peak performance training for those seeking to supplement their natural abilities.

Mental Skills Training

Development of mindset skills and tools crucial to pursuing and achieving one's potential. We believe in an approach across psychology, athletics and neuroscience to better train individuals to develop an optimal mindset to pursue their potential in athletics, business, and life.

Counseling/Psychotherapy

Counseling and psychotherapy help patients and family members understand cognitive, behavioral, and emotional changes associated with medical conditions. These services provide an important foundation upon which further progress can be built.
